Harbor Freight's is the same dimensions (and probably from the same factory) which regularly sells for $7, which is half this thread's product "sale" price. However, HF's is also currently on sale for $5.

Found useful for front load washer, dryer, plumbing fixes under sinks, stuffed one under recliner springs and made the sinking seat firmer.

As a fat guy, the HF is awesome. I put down a bunch of vinyl floors in probably a dozen houses over the last few years, installed baseboards, painted, installed kitchens, irrigation etc. The HF one is dense. I bought the husky one from home depot and it felt like a piece of cardboard as soon as you put a few pounds of weight on it, it pretty much just squished flat. The HF one though is incredibly lightweight and dense, so it works great. I am not sure about the one from amazon, but I can definitely recommend the HF version.

This foam kneeling pad is mainly valued for cushioning long kneeling jobs, from gardening and garage work to plumbing under sinks, tire checks, and even church pews or floor stretching. The extra thickness and larger size make it more comfortable than generic pads, and it also works as a seat cushion or firming support under a recliner. The main caveat is price, since nearby Harbor Freight and Menards options are often cheaper, and the pad is described as squishy rather than solid.

  • The pad's cushioning may feel less substantial than expected if someone compares it to very soft Husky kneeling pads.

    bjtaylorrmbjtaylorrm

  • The pad is squishy rather than solid, so it may not support shelving or other rigid uses.

    robobunny

  • The pad may arrive completely solid with no hole shown in the product photo.

    KCFORREAL

  • The listed "extra thick" positioning may be misleading because the thickness is reported as 1.3 inches versus 1.5 inches on a Harbor Freight alternative.

The Husky knee pad from Home Depot is perfect for these circumstances. It's awesome. And with 90 day free returns and free shipping, it's a no lose trial effort. As for knee pads, I have 2-3 sets of those as well. The biggest difference with knee pads is how they attach to your knees, do they slide up and down your knee when they are attached and are you constantly re-adjusting them. Both the kneeling pad and knee pads have their place for sure. I have just found that unless I'm locked in, on my knees, doing tile or lvp flooring of some kind, I definitely prefer the flexibility of the kneeling pad. I hope that makes sense. All the best to you! (and, you are correct, at 100 lbs, you will not even dent the Harbor Freight kneeling pad. Honestly, while they were smaller and thinner, I thought I spotted some kneeling pads at Dollar Tree in the garden area. Not a horrible option but I'm 200 lbs so I immediately moved on! lol)
T y v m for this. I'll definitely ck them out.
