From what I've seen, 14 is the base model (Dell 3000 series) and 14 plus is inspiron level (5000 - 7000). So the 14 plus will have better build quality at the very least, older 3000 models like the 3530 used to have that very cheap plastic that sucks IMO

Just buy an off lease latitude that are on here for half of this. Better built in every way (which isn't saying a lot about Dell). My 7392 8th gen i7 is running strong and was a great buy at $225.

I used to think the same but there IS noticeable and measurable performance difference. 8th gen is 9 years old and those come with ancient tech SSD in today's standard. So whether it's worth it it's very use case dependent.

If you have a computer with internet access and a web browser, if you search "off lease dell lattitude", you will have a number of results returned.

Sure, I mean the cpu is crazy old but the base Dells are horrible quality.

Yeah on that I do agree 100%. Consumer-grade Dells leaves a lot to be desired.
