These Pure Protein bars are mainly a budget pick for chocolate snack bars with a high protein angle, and the deal price lands around fifty cents each. The flavor gets described as meh, chalky, or rubbery, though black coffee helps them go down easier. The bars also contain hydrolyzed collagen, so they are not vegetarian. Heat can be an issue in summer shipping, making delivery timing worth watching.
Common Questions (4)
They are described as very meh, chalky, rubbery, or horrible tasting, though the low price is repeatedly called hard to beat. One practical workaround is pairing them with black coffee.
No. These bars contain hydrolyzed collagen, so they are not vegetarian and are not a collagen-free protein option.
One checkout trick is to add one box, then keep adding one at a time on the final checkout screen to keep the coupon applying. Another Subscribe & Save workaround is to add 36 to the next delivery and then add more from the cart, reportedly allowing up to 72 total.
They can melt if left on a porch in summer heat, so timing delivery for when someone is home is a practical precaution.

sucks they'll probably melt in delivery mid july...but I don't need much of a nudge to use vacation/work remotely to make sure they dont sit on porch when it feels like a sauna outside 😆
