- It says right on the bottle, "DO NOT USE ON ELECTRICAL FIRE", eh?
Community Reviews
Prepared Hero Mini Fire Extinguishers are compact emergency sprays aimed at small household fires, with the 4 pack dropping to about $26.60 on Subscribe and Save. The main appeal is convenience for quick response, but the comments stress important limits: it is not for live electrical fires, lithium battery fires, or flammable metals, and the bottle is labeled not to use on electrical fire. There is also concern about a Made in USA claim versus China labeling. A practical backup for minor non electrical fires, but not a substitute for the right extinguisher.
Common Questions (3)
It is not meant for live electrical fires and is labeled "DO NOT USE ON ELECTRICAL FIRE." It may only be appropriate after power is already cut off; for live electrical or EV/DC fires, a Class C CO2 or dry chemical extinguisher is needed.
It is not suitable for lithium battery fires in an RV, and flammable metal fires require a Class D extinguisher. ABC-style extinguishers can make metal fires worse, so this spray is not the right tool for that job.
The 4-pack can drop to $26.60 with Subscribe & Save. In some locations, the Subscribe & Save price appears to match the one-time purchase price, so the discount may not be better everywhere.
