Thanks I totally thought this was one of those built in battery ones but just a knockoff. I don't know if it is still work it when you can just put your lunch in a microwave. But then again you might not have access to a microwave

This isn't really a knock off of the battery powered version, the plug-in ones have been around for a lot longer than the rechargeable ones.

The advantage of this over a microwave is it reheats more gently and slowly, and so the food ends up being evenly warmed instead of burning hot on the outside and cold on inside. It also lets you heat up in a sealed container so that things don't dry out.

But overall, it's really kind of a niche use case where you have place where you can plug in your food and let it warm up for an hour.

I used one years ago when I worked at a university and had a large private office that was a long way from the university food court. It worked well because I could keep a couple things meal prepped in my mini fridge and warm them in my office without having to go to the shared faculty microwave.

I love mine! I turn it on one hour before my lunch time. The food gets really hot. I hate using the microwave at work because of the long wait of others using it.
