For long term use/storage Stainless is FAR superior for un conditioned spaces.
Just dismantled a storage warehouse after 14 years and the Stainless help up magnificently.
A few galvanized were pretty much rust buckets(nowhere near moisture).
In a corner of the space there was evidence of moisture and only a few of the SS had some surface rust spotting.
Since it's light weight storage...
Go with something like these [homedepot.com]
Much BETTER Flexibility, easier to adjust and look much nicer.
Different/similar versions go on sale for similar pricing in this thread and/or a few $$ more but get extra shelving.
