I tried that but it took forever to get the taste out. How'd you do it?

I've honestly not had that problem. I run a full tank of white vinegar and stop it midway through the first cup and let it sit for a while to descale the inner tubing. Then I run the rest of the tank, then a full tank of cold water. The taste is gone by then.

I use vinegar and water and then mix baking soda mixed with water to rinse. The baking soda neutralizes any leftover vinegar. I do 2 vinegar solutions followed by 1 regular water and then 2 baking soda solutions. Then one more time plain water as a final rinse

That's similar to what I do, except I run only 2 large settings with the vinegar instead of a whole tank. I do stop it half way through the 2nd mug, and let it sit for an hour and run it one more time. It takes less than a full tank to remove the vinegar taste, and the hot water that still has the taste from the vinegar is good for both sink drains.

FWIW My Keurig is one of the first full-size models, and I believe my cleaning method is what's keeping it still going strong after at least 13 years - that and using filtered water.

I'm impressed the Health Departments allow Keurigs or other coffee makers in individual rooms. While a bit of a hassle we travel with our own and enjoy a fine cup of coffee or two each morning. However to each their own. "Coffee is coffee. But if you make it well, it can be art."

Ya, I used to use them without concern. Now I'm like I need to run them through their cleaning cycles a few times first. Now a part of my travel checklist.
