Did you store them inside in the off-season? I'm asking this because potentially hot and freezing temperatures could have degraded the silicone. Now that doesn't happen with all silicone at all and certainly shouldn't happen over one season but wondering in this case for this item, if maybe that's what happened?

Ya I have this and only use it indoors with a grow light. Does the silicone break cause of the sun or just normal use? Cause it seems fine and works great so far

since this is advertised as food grade, can it be repurposed for anything? can the holes be easily plugged up?
