Apple's Magic Mouse stands out for its smooth multi touch gestures and fluid scrolling on macOS, with a sleek look that still appeals to some setups. The gesture support feels hard to replace, especially compared with standard mice, and the battery can last months with overnight charging. The biggest knocks are the bottom charging port, which prevents use while plugged in, and repeated complaints about poor ergonomics and comfort. Bluetooth reliability also comes up as a concern for wireless use. It is a niche fit if gestures matter more than hand comfort.
Mac users who rely on multi-touch gestures, because the surface makes scrolling and gesture control feel more fluid than other mice.
Office workers who want a compact mouse for short daily sessions, because it feels buttery smooth and can be topped up quickly during a break.
People who prefer a low-profile mouse for light desktop use, because it can feel smooth and comfortable enough for all-day use.
Laptop users who need to keep working while charging, because the charging port on the bottom prevents use during a charge.
People with wrist or hand pain, because the shape can feel uncomfortable and cause carpal tunnel symptoms.
Buyers who need a conventional ergonomic mouse, because the design is widely described as horrible ergonomics.
Wireless users who sit a few feet from their computer, because Bluetooth can become unreliable and stop tracking smoothly.

So I switched to trackpads which confirmed yes, bluetooth sucks, and all I can do is plug in. Something you can't do with these stupid things. $6,000-something M5 max MBP that work gave me two weeks ago can't handle these mice smoothly, nor the magic trackpad wirelessly, from a distance of 3 feet. I hate it. I hate it all.

When I'm working at home, I use the MX Master 3 and also love it too. Scrolling for me isn't as fluid as the Magic Mouse and there aren't any intuitive gestures.
While I don't necessarily agree with the placement of the charging port, it's definitely blown out of proportion. Just plug it in when you need to take a short 5 minute break, and you're good for the rest of the day.
