Apple's Magic Mouse stands out for its smooth multi touch gestures and fluid scrolling on macOS, with a sleek look that still appeals to some setups. The gesture support feels hard to replace, especially compared with standard mice, and the battery can last months with overnight charging. The biggest knocks are the bottom charging port, which prevents use while plugged in, and repeated complaints about poor ergonomics and comfort. Bluetooth reliability also comes up as a concern for wireless use. It is a niche fit if gestures matter more than hand comfort.
The multi-touch gestures on macOS can feel convenient for everyday office use.
The mouse can be usable for the rest of the day after short charging sessions.
The mouse can provide smooth scrolling and responsive gesture control during all-day use.
The battery can last for months when charged overnight and kept around an 80-100% range.
The bottom charging port design can prevent using the mouse while it charges.
Charging can take several minutes for only limited runtime, which can feel inefficient.
Ergonomics can feel uncomfortable or lead to poor hand comfort during use.
Bluetooth performance can be unreliable, with wireless use becoming unsmooth at short distances.

So I switched to trackpads which confirmed yes, bluetooth sucks, and all I can do is plug in. Something you can't do with these stupid things. $6,000-something M5 max MBP that work gave me two weeks ago can't handle these mice smoothly, nor the magic trackpad wirelessly, from a distance of 3 feet. I hate it. I hate it all.

When I'm working at home, I use the MX Master 3 and also love it too. Scrolling for me isn't as fluid as the Magic Mouse and there aren't any intuitive gestures.
While I don't necessarily agree with the placement of the charging port, it's definitely blown out of proportion. Just plug it in when you need to take a short 5 minute break, and you're good for the rest of the day.
