Community Reviews

Apple's Magic Mouse stands out for its smooth multi touch gestures and fluid scrolling on macOS, with a sleek look that still appeals to some setups. The gesture support feels hard to replace, especially compared with standard mice, and the battery can last months with overnight charging. The biggest knocks are the bottom charging port, which prevents use while plugged in, and repeated complaints about poor ergonomics and comfort. Bluetooth reliability also comes up as a concern for wireless use. It is a niche fit if gestures matter more than hand comfort.

  • The multi-touch gestures on macOS can feel convenient for everyday office use.

  • The mouse can be usable for the rest of the day after short charging sessions.

    danny_lamchopsrobo-joe

  • The mouse can provide smooth scrolling and responsive gesture control during all-day use.

  • The battery can last for months when charged overnight and kept around an 80-100% range.

    fventura03

  • The bottom charging port design can prevent using the mouse while it charges.

    kris.d.phillipsAmusedMoon6137

  • Charging can take several minutes for only limited runtime, which can feel inefficient.

    ShrewdPicture9355robo-joe

  • Ergonomics can feel uncomfortable or lead to poor hand comfort during use.

  • Bluetooth performance can be unreliable, with wireless use becoming unsmooth at short distances.

Yeah that 3 minutes to charge it for 8 hours of use is just a killer.
It only takes 3 minutes to fill my car's gas tank, too, but if I had to fill it up from the underneath the car, I'd probably not buy that car.

I really don't like the price of this mouse, but the touch and multitouch gestures on macOS have been so convenient. I've not found a mouse that can do that, besides the touch pad.

surprises me that no one has copied this model or maybe this design is patented by apple

Couldn't pay me to get another one, had one back in 2010. Just get a magic track pad.

What do you like about the trackpad over the mouse? Was considering this.

Master 3s/4 with Trackpad is best combo in my opinion. this mouse is good looking but not as good as the master 3s/4 model.
