I just received this fan. It doesn't oscillate. They present it as a fan to move the air in a room. It only has 3 speeds and I wouldn't say it is quiet. I like the ability to lay it on its side and it has worked well in my bedroom. I don't believe it is designed to be wall mounted but I believe I saw customer pictures on the Amazon page where it was wall mounted. Also, the remote can be mounted to the fan via magnets; but, not on the end. You have to figure out where it mounts.
