The AOVOPRO TMAX is a budget electric scooter that stands out for smoother city riding than basic solid tire models, with decent suspension, app locking, and enough speed for adults or teens. It can feel fast in real use, and the battery is described as lasting a while for short trips. The main limits are hill climbing and ride comfort under heavier riders, since steep inclines can slow it to a crawl and the solid tires still make bumps harsher. It fits flatter routes and shorter commutes best.

  • The scooter can be locked via the app, which helps with parking security.

    davidiq

  • The ride quality feels much smoother than the ES80 on city streets.

    ousilly1

  • The scooter can reach high speeds, and it can feel manageable when riding short distances.

    LavenderFog180

  • Coupon codes can reduce the final price to around $135 before taxes in some cases.

    HunterOne

  • The scooter struggles on steep hills for heavier riders and may crawl at only a few mph.

    FaithfulPocket121Aim2Learn

  • Solid tires can make the ride rougher, especially over bumps.

    unhumanousilly1

  • The app speed-limit setting may not effectively cap the scooter's speed.

    AlanL1849

  • The back wheel cover can break, which can also leave the back light missing.

Good deal. Tried to jump on this, but I am getting this error when applying the coupon. "For security reasons your request can't currently be processed".. Hmm.. anyone else with the same issue ?
Same issue. Even tried making a new account, changing networks/browers/devices. No idea what is causing it.

I just checked my email and I bought this in Nov 2025 for $187. My kid has been riding to his friends house and picking him up and bringing him back over with it. I just rode it for the first time last night to QT 3 miles away with him last night. The back wheel cover is broke on all of our scooters because I think kids step on them. They all wrecked every scooter we have but the scooters are alright. The brakes feel worn out and hard to stop. The back light is obviously missing because the wheel cover is broke off. My 100lb kid has the 250w version and he can accelerate faster and go just as fast as me up hill and flat. It barely goes up big hills and basically crawls or stops. Down hill if you turn off the motor I think it picks up a lot of speed. Maybe it does with the motor on. His friend pushed the kick stand all the way over so it's useless now. I regret letting kids use my scooter and not their own weaker ones because that's all they need. The top speed is capped on both versions so a 200lb person on the 500w is the same as a 100lb person on 250w. But because of the caps and natural of the scooters my kid is about the same speed on the 500w one. If I ride the 250w one it would be alot more under powered for hills. They keep them all in sport mode all the time. Last night I was thinking about how fun it was to finally ride "MY" scooter but I wished it was more powerful. Anyone know what the next step up would be to handle bigger hills for adults? My house doesn't have a back door so when I need a refill, it's a long walk and a more powerful scooter would be nice go thru the scooter faster so I'm not leaving guests back there for so long. I'm about to either find a more powerful one or buy this for my wife so she can join us for summer night rides. Suspension is decent
Most scooters you have to step on the back to stop. I got an electric one with the electric brake for my kid and he let the neighbor kids ride it and kept on stepping on the back to stop.

The coupon here works -$23.
With the 15%CB the final price will be around $135 before taxes.
Or around $145 after taxes in most places.
There is another $23 coupon TCB23 to try, $23 off a $169+ purchase.

Is this good for a 10 year old? I bought a niu 100f but the niu is pretty big and heavy.
I got this for my 10 year old at the beginning of summer. I have it limited to 10 or 11 MPH. I figure if they can bike at that speed, they can scooter at that speed.

Thank you for the info. Respectfully, how much do you weigh (roughly)?

If you weigh 200lbs or over and have any form of hills skip this. Tried it last time and returned it, but it at 210 it crawled up the various hills from 0 on 2
10% to 3mph max on maybe 5%
