This Acer Aspire 14 AI stands out as a strong spec-for-price refurb, with the Core Ultra 9, 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, and integrated graphics that handle everyday work, gaming, and even Switch emulation well. The unit is manufacturer refurbished by Acer on eBay, with free 30 day returns and a 2 year AllState warranty, and the listing sometimes shows a $50 coupon that drops it near $601. The main drawback is the display, which is described as a 1200p 60Hz IPS panel with about 61% sRGB and 327 nits, so color and brightness are weak. Stock also appears to come and go quickly, so timing matters.
The laptop can deliver strong real-world performance for gaming and emulation without a dedicated GPU.
The eBay offer includes manufacturer refurbishment by Acer and comes with free 30-day returns plus a 2-year AllState warranty.
The integrated GPU performance can feel comparable to a desktop GTX 1060 level for supported workloads.
Refurbished units can arrive looking brand new and can run without issues for family use cases.
The display can have low color coverage and limited brightness, which can make it look poor for screen-sensitive use.
The refurbished unit may still show repeat problems like blue screens or Windows 11 update failures during setup.
The listing can be hard to catch because it may be out of stock most of the time with brief availability windows.
Refurbishment may not fully fix the original return issues, leaving random troubleshooting problems for the next buyer.

How is the screen in this one?
This laptop being a 1200p 60Hz IPS screen with around 300 nits isn't for me.

Unfortunately I booted mine yesterday, started going through some initial setup and got blue screen of death. Had to hard reset it two more times before it stopped giving the blue screen. Now this morning I decided to give it another chance, thinking I should get all the Windows Updates before I judge. But after getting errors trying to update the windows 11 version three times, this one is going back to Target. Bummer.

How is the screen in this one?
61% sRGB and 45% RGB and DCI-P3 with a max of 327 nits brightness
If you are saying you care about screens, it's pretty bad. If you are someone that doesn't think about that kind of thing, it's functional.
