$50 off is a deal? On 7/29/25 I bought the HP Omen Max 16 with $500 instant savings plus $466 coupon. Now THAT was a deal.It was basically this same configuration but with 512GB drive and OLED screen all for $1868.That was before component prices went through the roof, but I don't think this is much of a deal here.
Which laptop would you recommend instead for a better price?
I preferred to get this for $1720 bestbuy openbox deal back in Feb/March this year. I returned it for a Lenovo 5090 laptop (needed more vRAM)I wouldn't pay retail for this guy.
What could you possibly be doing that requires 24GB VRAM on a laptop? Certainly no professional work is seriously done on gaming laptops.
I bought this laptop from Microcenter in January and in March my laptop completely failed. It shut off immediately after startup and it wouldn't restart. I had to send it to HP for repair, and the motherboard was replaced. It took almost 2 months to get it back. Just an fyi to everyone.

It's more like $450 off current common price, which in this market is pretty solid sadly.

Outlier on the Mobo breaking so I wouldn't let that stop anyone from buying, but that turn around time on getting your laptop back is pretty damned unacceptable.
