I have a dream... that one day we'll put high voltage lithium packs and gasoline fumes in perfect locations to each other. Together they will be in the same space, in perfect harmony.

Harbor Freight one is ok for the money but it doesn't have automatic shutoff, the feed hose is way short and it doesn't have a clip to hold it in place at the filler neck. The short hose is the most annoying part if you have a high filler neck because you end up having to hold up the gas can while fueling.

To be fair, 18V tool batteries do not spark (little chance of ignition) and are not "high voltage" by any definition. Also, this isn't just for gasoline, and if you happen to be using it for diesel there's little danger - I've used sketchier pumps for that, and it does not produce the same sort of highly-volatile fumes as some other petroleum fuels.

But my dream is to take one of these, over-volt it with a higher voltage battery(double, at least, if not triple), attach a spray nozzle to the end, and BOOM, easy flamethrower. That, or BOOM, you won't be annoyed at my posts here anymore.

If you've never accidentally shorted a tool battery, well, it's exciting. Regardless, I'm cool with a $5-6 shake siphon; been using one for years.
