However:
For coffee and black/green tea, leaving your beverage hot in the press will significantly alter the flavor of your drink due to overextraction. I don't mind bitter coffee, but it's not for everyone.
I think most would be better off buying a regular insulated bottle and pouring off your coffee/tea when finished brewing into that. It would be less expensive than this also.
This would be fine for most herbal teas.

Drawbacks for me are it only holds three mugs of coffee and really want four. The coffee screen fits well despite what reviews claim. The challenge is there's an inner lip that slightly narrows the diameter. People have a tendency to fill the press above that lip and then grains will slip by the edges of the screen.
I really wish Stanley would make a larger and better insulated press. They absolutely have the skill.
There is a different company (on Amazon) that charges a premium for a larger size and claims best insulation. I purchased it, and it absolutely does not hold heat better. Actually significantly worse. I get about 23 minutes of hot -not warm - coffee from it, and then temps drop fast. It does give me the 4 mugs I want and it does seal along the inner diameter better than the Stanley but loses heat too quickly.
Maybe one day a company will put it all together.
The Stanley is a good purchase if the size meets your needs.
I'd say the only reason to have a vacuum insulated press would be for making coffee outside in the AM when it's cool, like a late fall camping trip. At that point, you might prefer a peculator or a moka pot.
