That combo at Lowe's is the Brushed version with a pair of 1.5AH batteries. Ace has these for $99 as well.The OP posting is for Brushless tools (higher quality) and has a pair of 2.0AH batteries. Hence the higher price for a higher quality/higher capacity kit.

Ah, I see that. But the brushless $99 set only has one battery versus the two batteries in the $150 set (same one Ace has for $143.20). Also, the drill and impact driver in the two brushless kits are different model numbers. The higher priced set seems to have better specs for both drill and driver. I decided to go with Bosch on Amazon for $250 since I needed an impact driver that can take off tire lug nuts and having a better cordless drill with hammer capability was useful. More power and quality at a way higher cost, but not quite break the bank as DeWalt. Everyone's needs are different.

I hear you. I mostly need it for lightweight household stuff and it's a little confusing with the different models. I suppose I know I want brushless at least, and I already have a couple of craftsman batteries
