This is a low cost inspection endoscope that works best for occasional DIY, plumbing, and car troubleshooting. The 16.4 foot cable reaches into pipes, walls, spark plug holes, and behind ceilings, and the image is often good enough to locate joists, wiring, leaks, or clogs. The main drawbacks are weak resolution in dark areas, no photo or video recording, and no articulating head for tighter automotive work. The frequent return label and coupon issues add some checkout risk, making it a practical tool if those limits are acceptable.
Common Questions (5)
No. The listing notes that it does not support photo or video recording, which is a dealbreaker for some buyers; if recording matters, a slightly pricier model with that feature is a better fit.
It can be good enough for occasional DIY tasks like checking behind ceilings, inside walls, or down spark plug holes, but the resolution is often described as disappointing, especially in pitch-black areas. It still helps locate joists, wiring, leaks, and other hard-to-see spots.
The main reasons are the lack of recording, the modest image quality, and the fact that many buyers only need a borescope once or twice. Some also see the frequent-return label and third-party seller as red flags.
It is useful for reaching into pipes, walls, ceilings, toilets, dryer vents, and engine bays to inspect hidden areas. The long cable helps when you need to see what is going on without opening everything up.
It worked for some buyers, but others saw the coupon stop applying or the checkout price rise to around $26 instead of the advertised $17.99. The final price can depend on whether Amazon is auto-applying a different discount or whether the code is still valid for that listing.
