This FlexiSpot lift recliner stands out as a budget-friendly option for people who need help standing up, especially for mobility issues, recovery, or caregiving. The independent back and leg motors, smooth quiet lift, and easy tool-free assembly are strong points, and the chair is described as comfortable enough for long daily use. The main cautions are fit and feel, since the seat can run short for taller users and some shorter users slide forward, while the massage parts can be felt through the cushion. Weight capacity and return fees also deserve a close look.

  • People recovering from surgery who need help standing up, because the lift assist reduces strain getting in and out of a chair.

    WooHoo2YouShedoaraEragorn

  • People with arthritis or other mobility limits who struggle with deeply padded seats, because the powered lift helps them rise without fighting the cushion.

    DealDadyOliveMallard1763SplendidHerring3319

  • TV readers who want separate back and leg positioning, because the independent motors let the backrest and footrest move on their own.

    zheiseyFantasticTerrier786

  • Buyers who want a firm, supportive recliner for long daily sitting, because it stays comfortable for hours and holds up over years of use.

    ShedoaraJustin09

  • People who want a plush, sink-in massage recliner, because the cushioning is firm and the massage nodes can be felt through the seat.

    CyanNest3122hp13502zheisey

  • Tall users over about 6 feet who need full leg support, because the seat depth can feel short and feet may hang off the footrest.

    zheisey

  • Shorter users around 5'2" who sit deep in a chair, because the seat can place them too far back and make them slide out.

    dmccorkle82

  • Seniors who need a very fast lift for urgent standing, because the mechanism moves slowly and can require planning ahead.

Alright, I get it that being funny on the internet is fun but understand this is for people who have issues with pain or mobility in general. I imagine many veterans would benefit from something like this if it were high quality.
yeah, my mom got it to help with my dad since he had parkinson's/dementia. lifting even a tad helped her to get him out of the chair.

Just be careful with lift chairs for seniors. My grandpa had one and passed away because he lifted himself too high and fell and hit his head. It's honestly a good price though - my mom paid almost 1k for the one for my dad from lazyboy.

Is there anyone who has tried it an would like to share their opinion? Price says low quality, but it could also just be a great deal?

No, BUT, it may surprise us. I've found many products from this manufacturer and others in this realm to be of far higher quality than the price supposes. They have intensely optimized pipelines and since everything is right there, the actual difference between these and some of the top of the line brands is surprisingly small. Not imperceptable by any means, but it's something to consider when balancing the pros and cons.
This sounds like you work for the company.

I'm unemployed after being fired for being a whistleblower. Flexispot wouldn't hire me

Not necessarily obese people. Many people have osteoarthritis or other mobility challenges and getting out of a deeply padded chair is quite difficult. Check your privilege, and mind your judgmental words, please.

I feel like I need someone to talk me out of this because I have been thinking about a recliner and this checks a lot of boxes (barely any boxes aside from as low cost as I could go for not a piece of shit product that will last for at least 5 years)

Wonder if this is really comfortable. Lots of massage chairs are not that comfortable because you can feel parts protruding through the seat. Price is not bad though.
I have one and I am 5 11 255lbs and after using it for a while you can feel the massaging parts poking thru. Not that comfortable.

I can't find the weight capacity, and there was no answer to my chat attempt on their site. Some of the other chairs in their inventory - other models and brands - have a weight capacity of 350lb.

I too was looking for weight limits....
Disabled vet here, and have trouble getting out of low furniture ( knees sitting higher than waist level. )
I messaged the company to find out.
I did notice 20% restocking fee and $30 repackaging fee for returns.

Since the XL6 series is a relatively recent product expansion for FlexiSpot (which is mostly known for standing desks), direct user feedback outside of their own site can be tricky to dig up. However, pulling from detailed third-party reviews across tech sites, Reddit, and major retail partners like Target, a clear consensus emerges on the pros, cons, and performance of the XL6 series. Here is a breakdown of what actual users and reviewers are saying across the web:The PositivesTrue Independent Dual Motors: Reviewers frequently praise the fact that the backrest and footrest operate on completely separate motors. This is a massive feature at this price bracket, allowing you to elevate your legs completely while keeping your back upright (great for watching TV or reading) or lay it completely flat to 180 degrees for sleeping. Dead-Simple Assembly: Multiple reviewers (including IGN and The Gadgeteer) noted that the setup is incredibly fast and completely tool-free. The back and armrests simply slide and lock into pre-installed brackets on the heavy steel frame, typically taking under 30 minutes. Quiet & Stable Lift: The lifting mechanism is described as very smooth and remarkably quiet. Users buying it for elderly relatives or post-surgery recovery noted it gives a secure, stable stand-up assist without jerking. Thoughtful Small Details: Users appreciate the multiple deep side pockets, the built-in loops to keep the remotes from getting lost down the cushions, and the fact that it includes a matching support pillow. The Real-World Drawbacks (The "Gotchas")It's Not a Soft, "Sink-In" Chair: The biggest piece of consistent feedback across multiple reviews is that the cushioning is firm and supportive rather than plush. The IGN review explicitly points out that if you are looking for deep, cloud-like luxury living room padding, this isn't it—especially in the seat cushion. Massage Nodes Can Be Felt: Because the padding isn't deeply layered, a few reviewers mentioned that you can slightly feel the hard vibration massage nodes through the fabric/leather when the massage feature is turned off. The Motors are Safe, but Slow: It takes roughly 18 seconds to fully extend the footrest and up to 30 seconds to go fully flat. Reviewers warn that if you are using the lift feature for a sudden "emergency" bathroom run, you have to plan ahead because the motor prioritizes gentle safety over speed. Pay Close Attention to Sizing: Even though it has "XL" in the name, several reviewers note that the standard XL6 is best suited for heights between 5'2" and 5'9". Taller users (6'0"+) complained that their feet hang significantly off the edge of the footrest and that the seat depth feels a bit short. (Note: FlexiSpot does make a distinct "XL6 Pro" or "Extra Large" variation to address this, so double-check the exact dimensions of the specific model version you are looking at). Vibration vs. Rolling Massage: The massage feature is strictly vibration-based (eight nodes across the back, thighs, and legs). It provides a nice buzzing circulation boost, but it will not give you a deep-tissue, rolling, or kneading massage like a dedicated high-end massage chair.
