Don't get this version, get the brushless version. This version has a foot tilt adjustment UNDER the foot so you have to pick the tool up in order to adjust the foot's tilt making it impossible to just match it to the work and set the tilt angle. You have to keep picking it up, adjusting the tilt, then puting it back down to see if you got the angle close, etc. The brushless version moved the tilt adjustment to the back of the tool so with that model you can just set the tool on the work and adjust/set the foot's tilt while resting it against the work to get the exact angle you want the first time. This single annoying issue makes paying 2x or 3x this price to get the brushless version worth it for me and most of my friends who have tried both versions.

Lost out as I just bought one before the sale and cannot return (final sale item, different store). Made short work of cutting an interior door for a pass-through cat door.

Fair warning, thoroughly test these out before the return window expires. I only conducted basic tests with mine and failed to realize my unit was still defective until it was too late. (My unit couldn't cut remotely straight, even using a straight edge.)

I no longer buy from Direct Tools. Quality and service fell off a cliff in the past few years.

Out of a few dozen orders since they became a thing, the last 5 orders or so:

were canceled weeks afterwards with no explination
had a 2 USD proprietary broken component in a large, 250 USD+ package and was told to ship everything back
had a 40v dead Ryobi battery on receipt on a weed wacker/blower/ etc. kit and was told to ship everything back
Far more damage on refurb units than I have ever gotten from them
Really, really, frustrating customer service; when you do get a response it is so Ai laden with how horribly sorry they are and how much they regret that you are having an issue and how much you can feck off by not having human eyes look at the issue at any point is maddening.

You probably just saved me $30… That feature isn't really that important to me, but I am so on the fence about this. Just the slightest comment will push me one way or the other face.

You gotta square it. Takes less than a minute. You should be doing this with any jigsaw regardless of whether its new or reconditioned.
