Having this type of battery is great, too bad they are charging more for it when it's pretty cheap these days in the power station realm. Still a solid buy considering the unit provides real-time battery voltage monitoring of the battery the clips are connected to. Almost no jump starters offer that except for the Noco GB150 and a unit from Oxilam that I've seen, also one other off brand that has it built into the connector on the clips that connects to the jump starter. This Lokithor unit also supports 65w PD output via the USB-C port which not many of these do.

These are definitely not the same battery as those from power stations. The chemistry may be the same but the battery design is different. Lifepo4 battery normally have low C discharge rate, which is one reason they are rated highly for safety. These are not low C discharge rate battery.

Also at this price is thing is a steal actually. It have a pretty big size battery (over 55 WH I believe) which will be bigger than any of sub $60 jump starter listed recently. It has 65w pd in/out as the other person here stated. It has a built in volt meter. It has a beefy jump cables (8 or 6 sized).

That's good info. While I know battery design won't be the same, didn't know that these don't exactly behave the same way either. I'd imagine these are a bit more forgiving in a hot trunk or glovebox than traditional portable jump boxes out there?

You sure about that? They are def not lithium titanate and the lokithor china brand isn't reputable. We picked one up and three starts and the thing died. Our avapow held up for two years in a commercial use setting not sure if the new ones are as good as the older ones seems to be a race to the bottom in terms of overrating capacity with this brand tho.

I'm fairly sure.
Lithium Titanate is a different chemistry altogether. We are talking about Lifepo4 batteries. Replying to Phixion35 I was saying these are Lifepo4 battery but not the same kind as those use in power stations. These are engineer specifically for high discharge C rate so the prices should not be comparable because they are different battery designs.

Any reliable jump starter you can recommend? All of the Li-ion jump starter I have (Anker, Ravpower, Gooloo) eventually swells and can't hold a charge anymore.

I didn't even know that Ravpower makes a jump starter. If you are saying that you have owned these jump starters and the all swell in the end then you might live in too hot an environment and/or you are storing these at full charge. If that is the case your best option is Super Capacitor Jump Starter or the newer Sodium Ion jump starter. They are both more weather resistant than Lipo jump starters.
I can attest for the Super Capacitor being weather resistant as I have one in the car for years.

I know it's not the same exact model but I did buy the lower LOKITHOR JT400. I've used it to jump my vintage Lincoln with a 7.5L v8 a handful of times. I've jumped neighbors cars and even used the app to test my alternator and diagnose a bad battery within my warranty period on my Lexus gx460. At this point, I'm a believer and I don't care where it was manufactured. YMMV

I could care less about the claimed capacity or amp output.

What matters is output per dollar.

Everyone should have one - even if you buy a cheaper one. No reason to depend on others for a jump with these things available and so easy (and safer) to use.
