It's nice because it has the color guide right on it but now so do the others. I had work pay for it but it should really be like $25-30

I have this one and a Chinese clone and I can't tell the difference. What I find makes more of a difference is the quality of the RJ-45 plugs, some just crimp and fit better than others.

Looks like $50 is the normal price at Lowe's - plus you get points (and it's not Amazon)

I just terminated all the wiring in my house which was built like 10 years ago, and all the wiring was cat7. Not only is this overpriced, it's already or soon to be obsolete.

Agreed that the quality of the connectors matters more.

But even more reliable is to use punch down terminals then just buy short pre-crimped cables.

Plenty of people still using 5e nowadays. Cat 6 is nowhere near obsolete

I paid $32 for the tool and $25 for the connectors in mid 2023 during the COVID scam time. Worked great. It's a slow and tedious process. Make sure u get the colors in the correct order.
