in S. Cal, I looked at them on Monday ($1.99 a lb) and they looked wrinkly and small, so I skipped. The ones at Vons ($2.99) Aldis ($2.79) and Costco ($5.89 for 2 lbs box) were big and fresh.

PA location near me cherries are $1.76. Haven't been in this store in years but may pop in for the Late July tortilla chips under $1.

We have them in Seattle, WA, as sweet as the $2.99 / LB. at Kroger. I got 5 lbs of them. Maybe stock up on frozen drink mix.

my store had ones from 2 different farms. one was tart and sweet, the other was bland and sad. :~
