Hell, there's even a Logitech account on ebay thats selling refurbished for under 200. And that also qualifies as "ebay refurbished" that'll give you a full refund in a year if anything goes wrong.
I have these and they're my solution for wireless audio. I used to run Sennheiser hd600s through an audio interface but wanted to go wireless. Had the audeze Maxwell's for a bit, but they'd randomly drop audio. These have been solid and even do simultaneous Bluetooth.

The A50 X base station adds HDMI 2.1 passthrough (4K/120Hz), which lets it function as an HDMI switcher between Xbox and PS5. Because console audio routes through HDMI instead of USB, the X unlocks 24-bit/48 kHz audio on PlayStation and Xbox (versus 16-bit on the Gen 5) and enables the Game/Voice mixer to work on PS5. On PC, both headsets connect via USB and deliver identical 24-bit/48 kHz audio with full mixer support.
If you are PC-only, the Gen 5 and X are functionally identical in sound and microphone quality. The X is worth the extra cost only if you need the HDMI switcher or play on PS5/Xbox where the higher bit depth and mixer matter.

Edit: After further research into teardowns and Logitech's firmware pipeline, the base stations are also identical in wireless hardware, firmware, and audio processing. Both the Gen 5 and A50 X update through the same G HUB software track with no divergent changelogs or version numbers. The only hardware difference in the X base station is the addition of HDMI 2.1 passthrough and switching circuitry. The wireless chip, antenna configuration, and USB-C audio path are the same. For PC users, both base stations deliver identical performance, stability, and microphone quality.
Release order: X came out first (early 2024), Gen 5 came second (Oct 2024) as the budget revision.
