While the A50s are decent, the A50x (newer) outperforms in every category. I own both and wear/wore both 10+ hours daily for work and games. The a50x *is* that much better.

I also use steelseries sonar for mic noise cancellation as Logitech G Hub is just so-so.

No crap the A50X is better. It costs roughly twice as much.

Hell, there's even a Logitech account on ebay thats selling refurbished for under 200. And that also qualifies as "ebay refurbished" that'll give you a full refund in a year if anything goes wrong.

Aren't they identical in every way? Same mic, same speakers. X just has HDMI for console.

I believe these are the same exact headset but lack the HDMI. These are Astro A50 gen 5 and are actually newer than the A50x. The differences seem to be minor. I watched some comparison YouTube videos on it. On PC the sound quality between the a50 gen 5 and a50x is identical. I could be wrong but I believe these are the newer A50 gen 5s and the headset itself is the exact same as a50x. Only difference is the base station with or without HDMI ports
