This is a pretty good deal on this specific model, and this model is more than enough for those without very high-end wi-fi needs. Be aware, though, that there is a world of difference between eero Pro 6 and eero Pro 6E especially if you are into home automation (the Pro 6E has a Thread radio). Compare eero models closely before pulling the trigger.

The pro 6 has zigbee and thread as well and actually better processor. Most people actually prefer the pro 6 over the pro 6e because of the dedicated 5ghz backhaul. Check the dong knows review the pro 6e was a major downgrade.

I've bought a lot of the Pro 6 model and they work well. Its two ethernet ports are limited to 1Gbps speed.

I have the pro 6.. initially bought this for Smart Home Devices only.. but looking at its performance and stability.. I moved my streaming devices (TV, Laptops, gaming consoles, etc..) onto this network. Have 3 x Ring newer Camera recording 24x7. Handles everything pretty well..

Bought at the same price on Amamzon (set of 3 pros) in one of lifetime kida prime deal.

I forgot about how great that deal was because I gifted them to a family member. Had to go back and look at my september 7, 2023 receipt: 3 - pack of these brand new for $95.99 before tax, directly from Amazon after a "$160 EERO PROMOTION" was applied . $32/unit. Smokin' Slick!.

These had an issue where you can't change the channel manually. The software is supposed to be smart enough to do it when there's a lot of traffic congestion, but it wasnt doing it.

Not sure if that's been patched

The 6E version is also available for $89.99: https://computers.woot.com/offers...tm_is_1_tl

I stand corrected. When I asked the Amazon AI tool to do comparisons of the models, it called out specifically that the Pro 6 had Zigbee only, and not Thread. It was wrong.

Had to give up my Orbi 750 series setup as part of my move, so I'm running an Eero 7 Pro x2 courtesy of T-Mobile Fiber. Adding a third 7 Pro today.

If that's not quite enough to get the speeds I want/need for a wired device in my basement (it should be) then I may need to grab one of these to augment.

By design as most people have zero clue about channels and power.Eero is their target audience.

One thing to note is that the Pro 6 has been end of sale for about a year now. So, official product support from Eero is only guaranteed for 5yrs form end of sale

I have the pro6 and it does have Thread. But I have found that it creates a double thread network and just using the Apple 4K 128 works much better for me.
