Compare the weight, but normally Hanes is softer (thinner) & Gilden is thicker, lasts longer.

Gildan is good but I often find their sleeve length a bit too short for my liking. Anyone who works out knows what im talking about when sleeves start riding upwards and you continuously have to pull them down.

The military taught me to actually do the opposite with undershirts. Cut them into belly shirts and also cut off the sleeves. Looks normal in the collar area, but runs a lot cooler!

Gildan is better quality as a work shirt because they are durable. Hanes only really seems to make modern wear anymore because they near always blend polyester into the shirt for softness and tailoring.
