Arg.. Who makes insignia fridges? It is one thing to have a tv crap out on you but a fridge might cost you a bit more than you would think if it fails.. I have a 1983 gibson that wont die. It is yellow, and in the basement for beer. I am on fridge # 3 since we moved it to the basement because she favors form over funtion. It is my ace in a argument when ever the discussion comes up about replacement #4. She had to have french doors and ice/water in the door.. All fridges were in the $1000 each and up (last one was $1800) and they need to see the repairman more often than I see a doctor.. This simple design has me thinking but if it has a crappy compressor, I will buy a used fridge from FB market place..

You bring up good points! I had an LG linear compressor fridge go bad twice. I think they've since solved most of the problems, but it's a pain to deal with.
