This Dollar General digital coupon cuts 15 percent off a Lowe's gift card and can take $75 off a $500 card when it works in store. The strongest reports describe clipping it in the DG app, entering a phone number at checkout, and having the discount apply automatically, sometimes on a single variable card. The main friction is store and app inconsistency, with some locations showing only a $75 option, others requiring cash, and the coupon not always appearing or processing cleanly. It is a useful in store workaround if the local store honors it.
In-store shoppers buying a single Lowe's gift card, because the coupon auto-applies after clipping it in the app and entering a phone number at checkout.
People purchasing a large Lowe's gift card balance, because the 15% coupon can take $75 off a $500 value on one card.
Shoppers who can pay with a credit card at the register, because the gift card purchase can go through on Mastercard or credit card at some stores.
Buyers who want to stack a gift card purchase with other payment methods, because the remaining balance can be split at some stores.
Online-only shoppers, because the coupon only works in-store and the app can be hard to navigate.
People expecting every store to honor the discount, because some locations may not process the 15% off.
Shoppers needing to combine the gift card purchase with another item in one transaction, because the payment cannot be combined at checkout.
Buyers who need a reliable PIN for later gift card use, because a $500 card can have a three-digit PIN that may not work.

Jokes on me, I was hoping to apply the $500 towards a lawn mower but found out I couldn't combine paying methods, so I have to buy another one tomorrow.

If the app or website is restricting payment method, you can order in-store or call and do a phone order with a live representative.
Another note: Website and app limit gift card payment to 5 cards per order, but in store and phone have no limit.
I once paid for $900 in appliances with a huge stack of $25 GCs.

Update: I was never able to get it to process through the website, even with the coupon loaded. When I went to a second store, they showed it valid and processed with the 15% off. Possibly some stores don't honor the 15% off.
After the purchase, the receipt had an additional coupon for this Saturday the 11th. 5$ of 25$ purchase. Uncertain if you can stack this with the 15% off, but I will try.
