I mean, the source material was weird to start with. But they definitely decided to amp up the weirdness in the movie.

I don't understand people, it was a fantastic film, deeply disturbing.

This is easily the best "bow to the message" movie made in the past decade. Garland was very hamstrung by his masters but he was still able to make a highly entertaining movie despite the burdens they forced on him.

I prefer this type of movie much more than the next mindless superhero movie

I liked this one. Still not sure what to think of the last 10 minutes or so, but still very enjoyable. That bear was an amazing monster, design and all.

It's been almost two years since I watched the movie, and I'm still freaked out by that scene whenever I remember it.

Read the book, which I wanted to enjoy, but found it all quite weird. I read the next two in the series hoping for some explanation for all the weirdness. There was absolutely none. Worse than the TV show Lost. I guess fans of the book/movie like weird stuff for being weird and don't need or expect any explanation for how or why the events are happening. Not my cup of tea, unfortunately.

I thought this was one of the most hauntingly beautiful movies I've ever seen. It's stuck with me for years now.
