I mean, the source material was weird to start with. But they definitely decided to amp up the weirdness in the movie.

This is easily the best "bow to the message" movie made in the past decade. Garland was very hamstrung by his masters but he was still able to make a highly entertaining movie despite the burdens they forced on him.

I liked this one. Still not sure what to think of the last 10 minutes or so, but still very enjoyable. That bear was an amazing monster, design and all.
