Con, building it was a nightmare. Instructions are 4 pages long, with literally 0 words. Not only that it was clearly missing steps and didn't tell you which direction the poles go. I had to take it apart and reinstall it twice, as you can build it with the cross bars over vs under and it won't work when you go to slide out the awning.
Another con, it's sorta wobbly. I don't know if it was missing washers, but the only thing that keeps it together is riv nuts and 4 bolts per leg. It wobbles in high wind.
It really needs to be on a level surface. Ideally, a concrete pad.
The pros. It's amazing build quality for the price. This is the same price as a ezup tent and it's solid steel that won't break in the first wind storm.
It looks really nice. The retractable cover works great. It's got drain holes in the cover. It makes great shade
After adding guide lines to the top of the posts, this thing is awesome. Solid as a rock in the wind. It's a little annoying that it needed additional support, but now I can leave it open all day without worrying it's going to blow over.
If you are a handy person, this is a good buy. If ikea furniture is hard to assemble for you, this will be a nightmare
