I own the 10x13 version of this.

Con, building it was a nightmare. Instructions are 4 pages long, with literally 0 words. Not only that it was clearly missing steps and didn't tell you which direction the poles go. I had to take it apart and reinstall it twice, as you can build it with the cross bars over vs under and it won't work when you go to slide out the awning.

Another con, it's sorta wobbly. I don't know if it was missing washers, but the only thing that keeps it together is riv nuts and 4 bolts per leg. It wobbles in high wind.

It really needs to be on a level surface. Ideally, a concrete pad.

The pros. It's amazing build quality for the price. This is the same price as a ezup tent and it's solid steel that won't break in the first wind storm.

It looks really nice. The retractable cover works great. It's got drain holes in the cover. It makes great shade

After adding guide lines to the top of the posts, this thing is awesome. Solid as a rock in the wind. It's a little annoying that it needed additional support, but now I can leave it open all day without worrying it's going to blow over.

If you are a handy person, this is a good buy. If ikea furniture is hard to assemble for you, this will be a nightmare

I have this. Looks good and not horrible to build if you are decent at diy. It should really be secured into concrete footings to make sure it doesn't fall down. I thought I would like the retractable roof more, but it whips around and makes noise if it's breezy and stores water after rain. I removed it and added a cloth sun shade instead. At this price it's worth it.

Vevor is a junk seller brand that resells a million different Temu products, just like Costway, which may be the same company. Quality can differ quite a bit and customer support is zero.

Some rocks are wobbly depending on the surface

Does anyone have the store "At Home" nearby? I bought a very similar unit from them for $299 2.5 yrs ago, it doesn't have pergola style slats on top but tube bars and the canopy attaches with magnet, it's also 10x10 and it's been working perfect for almost 3 years now, and I would gladly buy one more next year at under $100/yr ve something that costs thousands and he'll to build and heavy. However I don't think it's same thing, so if you need a sturdy one definitely check "at home" version, and you can get canopy for $99 replacement. People said they remove it in winter, I did not. I just tied it up and survived minus 0 degrees in north east winter storms.

When it's time to throw this out, I'll probably look for bigger version like 10x14 or 12x14 but everything else is too complicated or too heavy. I thought about the mirador one from Costco but even then $1200 is wayyyyy too much for louvered ones.
