I'm tempted. Says it has a 2 year warranty from Allstate

Some ram industry article said storage and ram are going up even more

Allegedly seeing a q3/q4 30-100% increase. It is speculation but I'd recommend buying what you NEED at least now. If you can find cheaper ram then buy what you think you'll want for the next year

All state warranty is terrible. If you send out your PC they'll send it back in a worse condition. They lied multiple times on the repair summary and don't package the PC when shipping properly. My GPU (5070Ti) broke. Please don't waste your money.

I was considering the 9800X3D, 32g, 2tb, 5070ti Andromeda unit for 2400, but now this has me thinking. Though adding a 2tb drive would be another 300, still would be saving a few hundred.

Decent deal, we have three omens in the family and they have been awesome, 2 45l's and a 35L. My buddy got this config with a 5070. These can take the 270k plus, I know that processor was on sale recently.

Aren't the X3D chips generally considered best for gaming if that's what you need it for

Ya, they were all in new condition, been pretty lucky on that front. The Omen 35L I picked up from ebay last month was perfect and had factory 1 year warranty once I checked hp support assistant, every omen we bought had 1 year new warranty from HP regardless of what the seller said, its one of the reasons we go with them, that and they have good components, Samsung or WD SSD's, quality PSU's, Videocards that are built like tanks and the Kingston Memory.

Yes, but at 1440 and 4K that gap closes apparently. I also do a good bit of coding, photoshop, AI work so the 265K would be better for that. Looking at the reviews on the HP Omen....leaves a little to be desired I feel like.

I have the 5090 version of this with the same ram. Mine appears to be set to CL 46 which is ridiculous considering the actual ram listed is supposed to have a CL of 30 (The ones in the PC - mine at least - were SK Hynix dies so they should be top of the line). It seems like HP severely detuned these for whatever reason.

And I wouldn't even know how to go about buying another 32gb if I chose to do so since paying $500 for 32gb of real Kingston Fury Beast ram at CL of 30 seems like it would be a super waste.

The 9800X3D is the absolute fastest gaming CPU, but it's really only worth the premium if you're chasing maximum refresh rates at 1080p-1440p, or playing heavily CPU-bound games like MMOs or simulators. If this 265K build is significantly cheaper, it's the better value for 4K gamers. At 4K, the RTX 5070 TI does almost all the heavy lifting, meaning average frame rates between the two CPUs will be nearly identical.
