Provlem with any discounts on Uber, is that the price you pay is based on what they think you will pay, and can easily take into account the fact that you have coupons you are using, or that you are using gift cards that you may have gotten for a discount. Etc. So you may be saving $5 on your ride, and your friend next to you calls the exact same ride and just gets a rate that is $5 cheaper.
