$8 Free Pick up ACE HARDWARE B&B Charcoal All Natural Hickory and Oak Charcoal Briquettes 17.6 lb

No comment on the charcoal itself (I haven't used it) but WOW - FREE pickup by YOU! They make it sound like otherwise you'd have to PAY to do the work yourself of loading in your car and taking it home. Sorry, that struck me funny. Big Grin

Actually there is a reason that makes sense. Free Pick up (as opposed to free ship to store) meaning if you order now, it typically is ready within 2 hours to go pick it up, vs free ship to store which may take a week to arrive.

and believe it or not, there are some merchants who do have a minimum spend for free pick up (ie Walgreens at $10).

Now, I've seen some people on SD add 4 exclamation points after FREE PICK UP!!!! like it was well, the 4th of July. I never get quite that excited posting free pu or free shipping.

If you prefer the old made in Mexico briquette, Ace is selling it under the Meat Church brand. This is pretty good charcoal, too....especially for the price.

Good deal, though they're not the same as before still better than anything in it's price range.

I love a good Ace Hardware deal, yet if you're considering this deal you may also want to check out the Lowe's deal on charcoal briquettes.

Rokket, no doubt, that's a very good deal but at LOWES not HD. Guess it boils down to brand preference on this one.

Good point! But it still just seems funny to me - it would not have if they'd said 'Free Pickup within 2 hours'

Yup - for some reason my local store (Overland Park, KS) had an online limit of 8 bags, but it turned out that was only per order, so I made 2 orders to get 16 bags. I have a large climate controlled basement and plenty of storage. :-)

You're right. My bad. Fixed to Lowe's (I regularly shop both Lowe's and HD).

Anyway, love a slick Ace Hardware deal and thumbs up and reps to you for finding this one! nod
