These any different from say a set of Govee lights or something more expensive? I just want to put some lights in my office man, something that wont set the house on fire or be crap.

These are outdoor rated. If you don't need weather/water resistance for indoor use, you can probably find cheaper.

As for safety, look for ETL Listing or UL Certification. The problem is it's often not included in product descriptions whereas the physical product packaging and plug will have that info.
