The Best Buy deal for this 3D Printer was already posted, but you can get an additional $50 off by purchasing gift cards from Door Dash (10% off). I thought it warranted a new post. You can only get $25 off per gift card and 1 per person, so I had my wife purchase one for $250 and I purchased another one. Total it should come out to $450.

It's a good price, and a good piece of kit... but after hearing about all the latest Bamboo controversy, I would be nervous to jump into this as my first 3D Printer.

That is the biggest nothing burger in 3D Printing community. With the exception of a few geeks the rest of the people are not affected by the changes Bambu made .

If youre too worried just keep it offline and only use it locally. I got a p2s but for this price with ams definetly a great deal.

You can use the bambu printers in lan only mode. This keeps the communication only on your network. Huge pros for privacy, downside is you can't use the app which is generally useful for notifications alone. I have my printer in an unattended garage, and use a separate computer than my work computer so the app gives notifications which is helpful. It's also quicker to add a filament than bambu studio is.

You can't even spell Bambu right let alone explain how the "controversy" could affect this printer (it doesn't at all). And even if something down the line did, the printer can be used locally, offline, and even allows firmware downgrades. It's a time tested workhorse, and anyone with a clue knows that even if Bambu has done some questionable things.

Bambu is offering P1S Combo (AMS 2 Pro) for $539 direct on their site. Seems like folks like the AMS 2 Pro upgrade, but it's another $89 over this deal.

Type of person who doesn't vote because "it's a big nothing burger" whatever the hell that means

$89 for the upgrade is still worth it plus you don't need to deal with the whole gift card tango.
