DD often runs promotions, like $6 off $20, etc. The last time I ordered food from a local pizza place, I first started putting the order together online through their website. I did the same exact order through DD, applied the $6 off $20 promo, selected pick up a nominal door dash credit (I think it was like ~$1.50 or something), and then used my Chase Sapphire Reserve $10 monthly credit. I had already racked up some other credits for picking up a previous order so all in through DD, it cost me less than $8 for an order that would have otherwise been about $20 through the site directly. So a $100 gift card could go a long way with the right combinations of promotions stacked.

FWIW, I typically would only do this for larger chain restaurants and not a single-location mom and pop because I'm sure DD takes their cut too. I like a deal but I'm not a monster. 😝

Why wouldn't you rather give your business to a small mom and pop restaurant? I don't understand your reasoning. You think the restaurant bears the cost of all the credits that Doordash gave you? lol.
