This is a really good camera with a few caveats. It detects people and motion better than most security cameras because it can do 24/7 slow for recording and can compare changes from one frame to the next, to see if it is something worth detecting depending on your settings. If you use this in a high traffic area, especially if using 24/7 recoding at 1fps (max for this feature) it will struggle to stay charged. In a low traffic area and with good sun for the solar, it will be fine. If the area is medium or high traffic, you will want to tone down the continuous record to 5 seconds between frames or slower. Doing that and lowering record buffer, time of record and time between events, and it can work for high traffic areas potentially. Otherwise, you will want to wire it or buy a wired version. However, with that said, for the side of a house or backyard with not a lot going on or for detection at longer ranges, this thing excels for that. It picks up persons detection quite a distance away and better than cameras that don't have the 24/7 detection. I really like that it has a brightness slider for the nightvision, kinda like how digital zoom artificially enhances a zoomed image. It really makes long distance, very dark night vision much more visible. It's got a lot of utility for a $100 cam and so long as you think about its strengths, it does a great job in those area where it is otherwise difficult to get a wired cam. You will want to be sure to have a solid WiFi signal btw. Pairs well with my h500 and doesn't use too much storage due to how it records.
