Going to pass on this one, but thank you for the post.

A cordless heat gun sounds like a good idea, but in reading the reviews it seems a corded heat gun may be best for those that need longer run times and higher temperatures.

I use marine grade shrink wrap for wiring that I run in my garage to prevent moisture from getting in, so I need a heat gun that can run for awhile.

You wrote all of that out just to say how this deal does not meet your needs? Good to know OPs post was not the right fit for you. You could have added that 2ah battery for a heat gun does not last long probably 8-10min on max so it's best suited for quick jobs where running an extension cord to the job is probably not ideal. Or makes it a hassle. Pair this heat gun with a 4ah battery and a second spare and you'll have enough heat to melt and soften most glues and plastics without issues.

I got this recently and I have found it to be quite useful! More than I had anticipated actually.

True, it does not get as hot as a corded gun, but it still gets quite hot. Plenty for shrink wrap for sure. It does require a lot of current though, a 2Ah battery is not going to be ideal.

I'd say that commenter above wrote all that out to help all of us be informed about this product. No reason to be rude
