Works pretty well with the recent Whole Foods pickup code (GET5PICKUP) for additional $5 off if available to you.

I'm still running eneloop batteries from 2012. Probably even older in some cases. Sanyo marked.

Historically, not a great price, but it is nice to see AA on sale. I think for every 100 AAA sales, there's one AA sale.

Eneloop AA rechargeables stand out for long life and low self discharge, making them especially strong for replacing alkaline batteries in remotes, toys, and other everyday gear. The batteries are described as holding charge for years, with some still working after 15 years, and they can be charged hundreds of times. They are 1.2 volt NiMH cells, so any charger made for NiMH AAs should work, and the Opus BT C3100 V2.2 gets called out for refresh and test functions. Main caveats are the price has been lower before, Amazon has a reputation for fakes, and this pack does not include a charger.

  • Eneloop batteries can work with NiMH AA chargers, including the Opus BT-C3100 V2.2 with refresh and test features.

    cinematic6436MWink

  • Eneloop AA batteries can be recharged hundreds of times, which improves value versus disposable alkaline AAs.

    Mr.Crow

  • Eneloop batteries can discharge slower in storage and last longer in devices like kids' toys and remotes.

    fishmonger

  • Eneloop batteries reportedly maintain long-term performance for around 15 years or more.

    sam_ay

  • Amazon purchases can carry a risk of receiving fake Eneloop batteries, which reduces confidence in the seller.

    tannedsolutionMr.Crow

  • Eneloop batteries are 1.2V and slightly wider than standard 1.5V AA alkaline batteries.

    2220541

  • The deal may be less compelling if it does not include a charger for immediate use.

    rly723

  • Eneloop performance can drop after a couple of years in some comparisons, especially when batteries are left uncharged too long.

Virtually any charger meant for NiMH AAs should work.

how would the eneloop's compare with Amazon Basics where I get 24 rather than 10 for less money.

While Eneloops are much higher quality, I've found the Amazon Basics batteries decent enough that they may still be worthwhile. I definitely prefer them to other cheap brands, most of which outright lie about their capacity.

I have the Amazon greens and the Eneloops are really much better, worth the extra cost in the opinion. The Eneloops discharge way slower in storage and also lasts much longer, in our usage anyway in kids' toys, remotes, etc. I think most of the testers on Youtube also confirm that Eneloops still lead the pack in NiMH. I think long time ago there were Amazon branded ones that were rebadged Eneloops but those were long discontinued. That said I'm sure it's already mentioned we've also had great luck with the Ikea Laddas, think they're still rebadged Eneloops. Wish we had bought more when we last went as we live hours away from one.

I don't trust Amazon, but Eneloop are excellent rechargeable batteries. If you have an IKEA near you, they sell a similar line of batteries at an everyday price fairly close to this.
IKEA batteries not just similar, they are the same. They are Eneloops in a different wrapper.

Where have you found Eneloop AA for less than $2.40/battery in the last several years? I would love to pay less than this, but I haven't seen any better deals in over 3 years for these.
Search on slickdeals to see all the sales. In April and June they were $18.80 for 10.

I think those were all AAA, but that said, they have been cheaper before, I think last year around BF or maybe last year's Prime Day. If you can use the Whole Foods pickup promo code, it's not a bad deal.

Those were all AAA. Last deal on AA was black Friday-ish last year.

Me too... My Eneloops are dil going strong and most are 15 years or older. The Amazon basics and few other brands that I bought are either dead or the charge has gone to a much lower amount in less than 10 years.
