It will support most of the on device intelligence and just not some of it.

Im torn: I got the M4 256 wifi from costco before the price bump for 600. Here I can get the ceullar m3 for the same price with 256gb. I currently have a cellular ipad and like it. Not sure if I should return the wifi m4 and get this.

I'd say it depends on what you value more, cellular connectivity or more RAM and a better processor. Most people probably won't notice a real world performance difference between the two.

I decided to go for the M3 cellular and return the M4. I dont care too much about apple intelligence but the cellular is very convenient.
