I'm amazed no one has posted a tiktok or LPL video claiming these can be defeated in (whatever) seconds from someone who has endless hours to test / record attempts....and knows they are magically on the other side of the door (and the exact location they are installed on the frame). Not to mention, defeating the other locks also on the door at the exact same time without going noticed Wink

FWIW, I have these on all my doors. They won't stop SWAT with a battering ram or a dozen really good kicks to the door, but they will give you far more time to get to prepared (or flee if that is your jam) if someone did try to do a home invasion. The point is delaying and hopefully dissuading forced entry, not to be impenetrable.

If someone really wanted to break in, a glass window can be 'unlocked' with a small rock. Luckily people are predictable and gravitate towards doors even if they are normally harder and louder to enter vs breaking a window.

*P.S. Buy much longer screws (3") with this or any door frame mounted lock. Also replace all those tiny screws on your door jams, locks, and hinges now. Takes only a few minutes and can be done without removing anything but replacing one screw at a time.

I have these on all of my exterior doors. They are very good, strong deterrents, better than a deadbolt IMO.

These are great for people with kids btw. Put them up high and it gives me a bit more security from a kid trying to open a door they shouldn't

I have a version of these and they are indeed beefy as hell. Obviously you cannot open these from the outside so you'll have to be home or use another exit. Also guests usually get confused unlocking them

I have these. No idea if they work, as nobody has tried to break in yet. Seems like they would stop an intruder.

Coupon code appears to only work on this color, and not the black ones. Can anyone confirm?

Assuming people in your home can reach the top of the door, might be better to mount up there. If someone is going to try and bypass it (which isn't likely) they probably wouldn't try the top of the door. I am a little surprised someone hasn't come out with a modified version with a push spring push lock to open it.

Can confirm. I bypassed mine when I was locked outside my house. I used a flexible piece of plastic and all my luck for the year. Not unbreakable but enough to keep kids from opening the front door from the inside.

The best deterrent is speaking on the ring camera telling the intruder you are sitting behind the door with a 12 gauge and come get some.

This style still allows the door to open an inch or two, making jimmying it easy.
You mounted it wrong if that's the case.

These are easily bypassed. You can find videos of this. These are nothing more than a false sense of security.
If you do a sloppy install or have large gaps between door and frame sure
