I got the OG 36 top and I just slap another coat of the high heat black spray paint on it when it looks bad enough. Used to grind the rust off but now I just blast it whenever it looks chalky. Bout once a year if even.

but get rusted that easy? it isn't like i left it sit the the water for a long time. It is quick wet and i take it back in under my patio and put the cover back on
