Bought this last year. It worked ok for the summer but when I tried to use it again this summer, it wouldn't turn on. Waste of money.

Not at all, just like they work short term. Bug zappers are ineffective at attracting the bugs that annoy you.

How would these work long term? From my understanding these true bug zapper lights got a life span. After a while it won't produce enough of light that is needed. That's why major companies sell replacement lights.

This says LEDs and should last much longer than the traditional bulb used.

Exactly. They've done studies on these, they hardly catch any mosquitoes at all relative to all the other bugs it zaps. Unless you are really bothered by moths and such, don't waste your time or money with this.
