Is this just asking for an urgent care visit?

A friend of mine did mount it to a door frame incorrectly. It gave him a pretty nasty gouge in his head when it sprung back at him.

Wow, this a great deal! I bought a set like this a few years back for like $25. I may have to buy another set as a back up!

No protective sleeves, so be sure to wear safety goggles when you work out with these.

I got this set when it was listed in May for this same price. MY take for anyone who wants insight: For 6 bucks, it is fairly sturdy. I haven't noticed any glaring signs of faulty joins. But its the same as ANY tube resistance band - they may degrade over time, and woe betide any fragile picture frames or craniums that get in their way if they fail. There's no "mounting"- the most useful bit (for me, since I didn't want to put hooks or bars on my walls) was the door gizmo. It just gets shut in the door you are using ON THE HINGE SIDE (duh). The bands themselves are very low resistance. I only wanted it for physical therapy (got hit by a car), and I went straight for the top two resistance colors. I am not "strong" and they were still reasonably easy. But you can add them together (again, duh). The band lengths themselves are shortish. If you want to do stretches by standing on the band and pulling upward, it probably won't work unless you are much shorter than I am. For the price I can't complain, but ideally I would have liked it if it provided 2 door gizmos, so that I didn't have to rearrange between vertical and lateral exercises.

Did anybody purchase this deal the last time it was offered in May and not receive yet? I'm going to contact the company to see what's up with my order.
