I Have used it several times in the past 8 months; its good for homeowner/DIY or emergency use if your main tool (i.e. Klein/Irwin) not available; quality and ease of use are soso compared to brand names, I think I paid same price or a bit cheaper

I have the IRWIN Vise-Grip brand version of this style of stripper and they are amazing. Love that you're able to strip off outer protective sleeves without damaging the actual wire sheath (i.e., Romex).

Looks like this is pretty normal pricing per Amazon's price tracker, but going to pick them up to use in a secondary tool kit as they're about 60% cheaper than the IRWINs.

What is the build quality compared to the Irwin?

This tool is terrible. Buy a quality, brand name tool. This tool is that bad.

I have the Klein version. It's nice that these have crimpers.

I use this exact one for projects around the house. Never fails various gauge wires. Like magic
