I got this last year and has been great up until a few weeks ago where water got into it.... I ended up getting another, but opted for the Asurian coverage this time to see if I can get it replaced next time it happens. For reference, I have this tied to Alexa, so I just ask "Alexa, what is the temperature of the hot tub."

I ended up getting another, but opted for the Asurian coverage this time to see if I can get it replaced next time it happens. For reference, I have this tied to Alexa, so I just ask "Alexa, what is the temperature of the hot tub."

I have this. Only downside is I haven't found a way to hook it into home assistant. Most HACS for Govee seem to support every one of their devices except for this one. Nice device though. As others mentioned it works with Alexa.

I'd say the heat killed it off . I'm wondering if it would have lasted in a regular pool. Regardless imma get one lol

I've had 2, one for the pool and another for the hot tub, absolutely love them! Gave another to a buddy and he enjoys as well! Can't lose for just $22.

I did also have one get water in the display which messed it up. I notified Govee and it was a very simple process. Had a new one in 2 days!

same here, works until it doesn't nd if its within a year govee will replace painlessly. Im on my third but for $20 even if it lasts a year its pretty good value. Chlorine and sunlight are tough on things so not sure i expect much more than a year anyway.

Interesting, I almost got this for my hot tub...but went with a zigbee sensor with a probe and that works great in HA

I've gone through 3 or 4 of these setups - both bases and sensors. They're great until they just stop working. I have 2 in our pool and usually one of them is working. Sometimes taking the non working sensor out and letting them sit with no battery for a while gets them working again. Govee support is EXCELLENT though. Send them a message on Amazon and they'll likely send you another set.

These are so awesome when they work I would pay 5x this price for a setup that worked trouble free!
